November’s Pylon of the Month is a first for the blog, because it’s part of a stage set for Beabadoobee’s Powerlines Tour. I grabbed the image from @danielprichardson on Instagram – he’s the man at 1826 Group behind the fabulous set design. It came to my attention when my eldest son noticed that Beabadoobee (@radvxz) had liked October’s Pylon of the Month and before you know it I was listening to her latest album (Pylon) on Spotify and in the Radio 1 Live Lounge. The onstage pylon looks to have been inspired by a British pylon. and the fact that the three arms are of equal length makes me think probably the classic L2 or its predecessor the L66. The album was inspired by a feeling of homesickness on tour when seeing pylons reminded her of her home in West London. If you want to see the pylons featured on this blog, I always try to give enough detail to find them, so I can do the same here although time is limited because the Powerlines tour finishes in April 2027. The US leg has just finished as I write this post and the European leg starts in mid-November with four UK dates in Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester and London followed by Oceania and Asia in 2027.

That’s all for November. After hanging out with the cool kids this month, I expect December’s pylon to be connected to the electricity network and be far less rock and roll!
